Andrew Morphis - Principal
Starting out framing homes during the summers in Tennessee while a teenager, Andrew has since developed diverse industry experience across residential construction, management, and consulting. An early interest in sustainability and respect for craft led to this career in green building and the founding of Roost Homes. Andrew’s passion is to design and build dwellings for our community that help solve our housing and climate issues and ensure clients’ health and happiness.
Christian Lockwood - Lead Carpenter
Born and raised in Georgia, Christian is the go-to lead carpenter running our jobsites day to to day. He enjoys working with his hands, salvaging and reusing materials, and ensuring the satisfaction of our clients and trade partners. In his spare time he enjoys kayaking and creating multi-media art.
Dove Castel - Designer / Apprentice Carpenter
A Florida born Canadian, with over 20 years of experience in design and global manufacturing, Dove now applies their expertise at Roost Homes as both a designer and apprentice carpenter. Passionate about blending design with hands-on craftsmanship, Dove works closely with clients and the team to transform creative visions into reality.
Dove’s passions are farmstead-meets-spa-living, and making art with fibers, flowers, and food. Dove also has a flock of chickens, and a tripod chihuahua coined Chicken.
Dan Macintosh Tolle - Laborer
A Portland native, Dan began his career as a bacterial geneticist before owning and running a gluten-free brewery for nearly a decade. Now at Roost Homes, he's dedicated to learning and applying his skills to build accessible homes and help tackle the housing crisis.
In his spare time, Dan raises backyard chickens in the city, while he designs his own small dream home on the Oregon Coast.
