The goal for this project was to create a full-featured, efficient home on a small footprint, with flexibility of use and replicability in mind. With only 800 square feet to work with, optimized design allowed for maximum features for a “starter home” style ADU. With 2 bedrooms, 1.5-baths, an entry foyer for those muddy PacNW days, connection to outdoor living space off the kitchen, and even a hallway linen closet upstairs, this small home lives large. An open main floor plan allows different layouts for occupant needs, and an upgraded efficiency package ensures low bills, comfort, and quiet.
